Try using Quick Dry Electrical Cleaner; it's very similar, if not the same, to MAF Cleaner.

Yeah but I won't take any chances on using "any electrical" cleaner other than the specified MAF cleaner.

never had a problem with any of my previous car fitted with bosch maf's using electrical circuit board cleaner . In my opinion the only difference in it and a tin of maf cleaner is only the name

Yep FWIW decided to check my filters and MAF. When I opened the box the filters were K&N's and were dirty. Cleaned the filters out, and oiled them. Then got myself some of that CRC clearner ($6 @ Kragen) and sprayed the MAF.

Reset the computer, and took it for a spin... WOAH much more responsive and getting the christmas lights on!

Took off esp, mashed it and the car went sideways. It never did before.

So I say cleaning the K&N's or getting new filters and CRC on the MAF works!
