I would like to know for those who own an AMG W210 1998, is this made of fiber glass or is it Urathain? (sorry for the spelling) I love the way the OEM AMG looks but wanted to know if I purchased after market what would be the difference.
The AMG body pieces front and rear bumpers, side skirts are made from a type of Urethane and some models use Carbon Fiber. Now the racing cars have Carbon Fiber, Kevlar and some older ones use fiberglass body panels.
sweet, thank you. The only AMG Body Kits Ive seen are made of fiber glass. Some even mention a flex additive, but I dont know much about the fiber glass chemistry. I wish I could get a hold of a OEM AMG Bodykit. PM me if anyone knows of one for a good price. At the moment, theres a company that has a 7 layer fiberglass AMG kit for my 98 selling for $600 unpainted 4 piece. If I cant find one at a better price or better material I just may end up going this route. Thank you.

not a Mercedes know it all but most factory "body kits", "skirt kit". Will be made of urethane. Urethane is more durable and doesn't crack as easily as fiberglass. Fiber glass kits are usually copies or remolds of more expensive kits made from urethane.
I'm pretty sure the stock 01 AMG bumpers and sideskirts on my w210 is all Urethane.
