Goodyear Eagle F1. Highly rated, and won overall against Michelin and Pirelli in one major tire test. Loved the way they looked, good price point, but once they got broken in, noticed a couple of things - they feel very "blocky" if you know what I mean - kind of like they dont flex at all on the sidewalls - weird.
Worse - these are the NOISIEST tires that I have ever owned. Not too bad initially, but after 5000 miles, they sound like all terrain tires - the noise is ridiculous. Take my advise - dont go there. I might be replacing these with 2/3 of their tread life left because they are so annoying - really.
The German built Godyear F1 GS D3's that received such great reviews last year. The blocky handling I could live with (I suppose) but the road noise is unbelevable. I even had them rebalanced and had a 4 wheel alignment done by the dealer to see if that helped - not.
Funny thing is that the tires are wearing very evenly, they are just LOUD, annoyingly so...
I'm seriously thinking of doing the same thing - the "wa wa wa" noise is annoying on a car like this. Seems to get worse with time. Too bad - all the reviews including Tire Racks guy on this site (Luke) rate this as a great tire - not.

I don't understand why anyone would have praise for the GS-D3. There is very little I liked about the tire. I wasn't impressed with them in the rain. They wore quickly and were louder by the day. I'm not going to say the tires are horrible but I certainly didn't like them and I won't buy another set.
