Hi Dawson,

Thanks for your tip about the book, I'm now thinking about buying it. Have you had a chance to look at it yet please? Are you impressed by it?
Does it have detailed info in it e.g. production numbers of the E55 AMG W210 Estate?

AMG Reaching for the Stars is a must have for all AMG owners. It covers AMG from the first race to the current models out in 2007. It does not talk about production numbers Mercedes does not like anyone to know how many cars they produce each year probably due to the competition. It interviews the AMG family and employees and talks about each year and the steps the company made to get to where they are now. Buy it if you want to know more about the history of your AMG car.

To find the magazine go to the PRIVATE LOUNGE and then to COMMUNITY then DISCUSSION BOARDS then AMG INFORMATION look for giveaways and there you have it.

; they must have strict dress code or something

Seriously, AMG told me Private Lounge is only initially available to our US cousins only; later on they will let the rest of plebs in

Guess if 40% of your sales go to USA, then you guys get priority treatment

I was unable to join too, as my car is in Hong Kong. Hope AMG get this sorted out for the rest of the world soon.

What is going on in the Private Lounge please?

What am I missing out on?!!

Is it a gentleman's smoking club with leather clad armchairs & waiters bringing you G&T's with ice? With only the distant sound of a slowly ticking Grandfather clock to distract you.

Or is it an exclusive club where all the cool "in" people hang out, with wall to wall plasma screens, showing all the DTM races & dancing girls?

I may have to move to the USA /Canada, to gain access, if some of the above is true
