navi problem

my factory command system is acting weird. The command loads the navi disc but the only button that works is previous sites or something like that and even then it says im at an unknown location and doesn't display a map. The other options such as Address, Points of Interest, etc do not work. Could my navi be faulty or could the disc be bad? Any help would be appreciate

I had the same problem and put a cleaning disc in it to clean the head of the command unit.
Seems to work fine now.

Sounds like a dirt/scratch issue all right. I got all of my Bosch/Navteq NAV CDs from people on eBay, and I never recieved a bad one. They shouldn't cost you very much, like $25, and once you get another one, you'll know if you have to clean the "laser lens" or whatever it's called that reads the disk. Good Luck!
