I have an 01 E55 and my rear sun shade stopped working. When I push the button up or down I hear a little clicking noise like a relay but the motor for the sun shade I guess is stuck or stopped working. How do you get to the rear sun shade.
I guess I should chime in here as I had this issue and my old thread is being linked. Anyway...my warranty covered the sunshade! So I have a working unit now, and I had my jerky LED display replaced at the same time. I doubt the warranty people like me anymore, as these repairs came to about what I paid for the warranty. Sadly for them, my AC is putting out lukewarm-at-best air, so I might have another claim soon.

It's from a company called 'National Warranty Corp' based in Eugene OR. They do not appear to have a website, I bought it through the dealer I bought the car from. Their # on my materials is 800.547.4710. I do not recall the exact price, but it was around 2000-2500 I am pretty sure.
My indy mechanic said they were very easy to deal with when I took it in for the sunshade and cluster. I got my AC fixed today, the same mechanic said it had no apparent problems, just needed a service. So no claim there.
