Hello w210 forum members.
We are looking to mod some W210 (E) black projectors to fit a W208 (CLK) and are asking for some help fron the W210 forum members.

It seems that the W210 E Class has a break in the model years regarding the replacement headlamps:
96-99

Does anyone know why that is ?
Are they bigger, smaller, different angles, what ?
Also, if you have a W210 from either of those two groups, could you please provide some of the following info., and let us know your model year.
These questions apply to the passenger lights.
1. Use a flexible tape and measure the lense diameter at the vertical height
2. and at the horizontal width as accuratley as possible.
3. Same for the opening, measure the opening from the metal hood edge to the plastic bumper edge for height,
4. and for width.
5. Can you take close photos of the lights directly from the front with the hood closed,
6. and directly from the front with the hood opened,
7. and a couple of shots of the cavity behind the lights.
Lastly, if anyone has an otherwise unusable burned out or broken or damaged W210 light, left or right, that I can use for this experimental mod, then I would gladly pay shipping for it if you would contribute it to the cause.
