Wheel Choices

Been looking at a couple of wheel choices for my E55 Brilliant Silver and would like other opinion's. Sizes are 18" 32et front and 35et rear, so they should work. Be honest, like? don't like? how about these? you're out of your mind?, get you some 19"?, etc. i wish I was talented enough to photoshop these are my car. I know that beauty lays in the eyes of the beholder.

Those are look like my uncles rims on his GL450, and to be honest IMO those doesnt go with the flow of W210 body style.

+1

It is challenging to find wheel to compliment the W210 body style. It's been around long enough that people have put numerous wheels on them (for better AND worse). I suggest browsing the W210 gallery and taking notice of wheels you like and don't like.

Also, there is another popular MB forum (that I won't mention out of respect) that has a similarly large W210 gallery.

Good luck.

Naye. Too much curve for our boxy W210s. And, if my memory serves me right, I believe (though the offsets are correct) that particular rim design will not accommodate out AMG brakes.

Kev, they are the Brabus Monoblock S replica's called MBS I think and the seller is claiming that they will fit over the E55 big brake. Of course down here in cajun country we take boats across the swamp to work fighting a few aligators while we're at it. j/k

With a 32et front and 35et rear, they should be ok. I saw the silver/black combo on a C32 and damn, it looked hot!! Check it out below for yourself. Now I know that the C32 is not an E55, but on that silver car they look sick, or did I say that already. Of course, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

I really want to stay with 18" and have considered powder coating the center of the original AMG wheels in black leaving the polished lip as I think that would look cool on a silver car. I am sure someone has done this before but have been unable to locate photo. Only other choice is to have some made specifically for the car, but damn those prices are high. I like the black rim look on the silver car.

Kev, thanks for turning me onto Ross, he spoke highly of you yesterday, that shift knob will be a great addition.

I like the second pic, but I think those would look better on a black car. I particularly like the Mercedes star center cap.

fitting wheels on our E55 is by far the toughest i have EVER had to deal with...
i went with the Brabus wheels as shown in my sig. they BARELY fit.
the big issues being the brakes and the offset. the offset would normally not matter but we have a suspension nut that is VERY close to the wheels edge...

I saw those replicas on ebay also. The seller claims they will fit over the E55 brakes. I have yet to see a pic of it though.

If you buy them, let us know if they fit. Could use them as winters up here.
