Well after about 6 months of going back and forth between a W210 and W211 E55, I decided on getting the W210
. The year is 2001, color Brilliant Silver. I'll try and get some photos up soon as of right now she is stored until an additional garage can be built.
The past month I have spoken to a few of you regarding the W210 E55 discussing various topics as I am eager to modify some. One of the reason for purchasing the W210 allows room for extra spending that would have been tied up in a w211.
A couple of items I am hoping to make a decision on soon are wheels and lowering.
I personally like the AMG monoblocks and may leave alone but i am also considering powder coating the center in black with the polish lip. Also, I have been considering other wheel options. I dont guess by chance anyone has a photo of the monoblock center black for viewing? The black wheels look real nice to my eyes.
On lowering I have read much on the matter and have not made decision as of yet. Still doing research. Just found out today that Kleemann (spoke to Cory) no longer has their suspension available and has none in stock. I am certain other vendors who sell Kleemann more than likely dont keep any in stock either. So i am looking at all options. One concern is wheel alignment and what can be done to prevent significantly wear on the inner or outer tires from lowering. I have seen aftermarket cambers to address this, but still researching.
Other than that I am taking my time looking into other modifications, taking notice of the great taste ya'll have in modding your vehicle and here to learn.
