I have a 2000 E320--- I was thinking about upgrading to a stock navigation. I see one for sale in a local paper but I am not sure if it will work. Is the wiring the same ? Can it just plug in? If anyone can help it would much appreciated.

From what I've read on here, you'd probably be better off to go with an after-market unit. I have a factory-installed CD-NAV and I think it's difficult to operate.

I just put MB nav in my 2001 and it was not hard at all given the help that I found here, You can find step by step detail help here. I put in a stock unit to keep my car pure MB, and it works OK. Dosnt have some of the advanced features of off the shelf add on's but it works great for me.
it's quite easy to retrofit factory nav on a w210. Contact Steve at steve@mbenznl.com if you want the parts.

When One adds a OE MB Comand EVERYTHING will work IF its installed the correct way...As I added Comand to my 2000 W210 seven years ago and EVERYTHING works ..NO Problems and its Easy to use!
The Wiring MUST be changed at the connections to plug into the comand as the Plug/connections ARE Different
Then The car MUST be version coded to Comand PRESENT Via the Star Diag
