Wanted to share my experience with everyone about retrofitting Audi A6 projectors into a depo headlight with infiniti G35 ballast and osram 4200K bulbs.
I had the OEM xenons on my E55. I wanted the projector look but also wanted no reduction in light output. I first tried sticking a HID kit in back of a depo/hallogen projector and the light output was all fragmented and the cutoff was off. I was NOT happy.
Then I went and did things the correct way with the retrofit. I had Zam2000 do the retrofit since I did not want to chance doing it incorrectly and he has lots of experience doing this. He was very fast and professional.
I am happy with the lights. The light output is amazing and the look is great also. The qualty of the lights is also excellent.
In the end, it was expensive but worth it. Plus, I can sell my OEM xenons for $800 or more since they are in good shape. So after that, the cost will not be that high.
I will post pictures when it gets a bit warmer here in Boston.
In the end, WELL WORTH THE TIME TO DO THINGS RIGHT! I am VERY pleased with the look and light output!
One more thing I forgot to mention....MOST of the projectors you see on ebay are NOT DEPO even though they are advertised as DEPO. They use the crappy H3 projector instead of the H7. Depot only makes a H7 projector. Please be aware of this. I fell for that trap the first time and now have ax extra pair of "fake" depo headlights lying around...
Sounds interesting. So who is Zam2000?
What specific retrofit parts did you eventually use?
What was the final cost before you sell your old parts before $800.
Hope to see the pictures soon
Zam is a great guy, gave me instructions on how to do mine. It is a pretty big job but well worth it. If I keep my car, I will redo the front bumper, lights and add headers.

Great look. Is the light output better then the original?
Thanks for the info. All I need now is Zam's email. Not used to this forum yet and can't seem to find the addresses. I guess he is near Boston.
Thanks

He lives in Orange county, CA. Do a search for Zam2000. He might even have everything all done for you so you just have to buy it from him. Last time I spoke to him he had 4 sets already done and ready to be shipped out.
