First of all, a huge thank you to all who helped me out with pre-purchase questions! You guys are a huge part of why I chose a E55 over an M5, and I am very grateful for the assistance.
I hope you can continue to point me in the right direction for the following items...
1. Extended Warranty - I bought a 4/48 Enhanced Warranty from Total Shield for $2800. I did not choose to get the Supreme (bumper to bumper) warranty because it didn't have a 4 year option. The Enhanced includes Engine, & Drive Train (incl SC if I should have one), Cooling, Steering, Brakes, and Basic Electrical. For $700 more I can upgrade to Deluxe and have it cover Fuel Delivery, AC, Suspension, and "Enhanced Electrical." Is it worth it? I haven't heard of these items going wrong, but now that I print it out, $700 seems like a decent bet for 4 years of coverage on these items. Thoughts?
2. Touch up Paint - I found a spot that was nicked though the paint, but not to the metal. What do you guys do for these?
3. Flat Badge - I see a bunch on Ebay, mymercedes.com and by searching. The one I really wanted was made by a guy in Texas that has since stopped making them. Recommendations?
4. Sound - I have this in another post, but just wanted to add that I don't have a CD changer after all. I don't know how 2 different drivers went through 5 years with only the cassette player in the HU, but they did. Looking to spend about $1k total on sound, and still looking for help.
5. Bay Area Tuner - Ideally one who can work with Extended Warranties.
6. Brakes/Rotors - My rear pads are at 20%. Rotors under the limit. What upgrade options here?
7. Wheel locks - I found I have only 4 lug nuts per wheel because they pulled of the previous locks. What locks can you suggest that will look ok on Brabrus VI's?
8. Headlight Cleaner doesnt work - I am hoping this is just a fuse, but have no idea of where to check (lame I know...will figure it out)
9. Side Blinkers - Want to get rid of the orange, and get white ones. Have seen several on Ebay, but can't tell which are better.
10. High Beam options? - I have always switched out my front lights from the 55/65 low/high beam stock bulbs to 55/105 low/high aftermarket bulbs. Is there a similar option for us?
11. Radar Protection - What's state of the art these days, and does anyone have one built into the aux unit under the HU?

There is a guy selling OEM Mercedes flat badges on eBay - just ordered one for $30 delivered +/-. Seems hard to beat.

As a related question - and not to hijack the thread - does anyone know anything about what is legal or not in headlights? Would like to get brighter bulbs as well, but there seems to be a lot of conflicting advice/info on the net and I don't want bright lights enough to draw a ticket for grins.....What is the most you can/should buy in terms of wattage/color/type of bulbs for this car?

(2) I had a few stone chips and had my dealer's detail department do that job. It cost me nothing other than paying them for a complete detail ~$125. Be careful with the MB touch-up paint (inexpensive plus you get a vial of color and one of clear coat) if you try that. Apparently, the provided applicator is worthless, but I've seen people say that a paper match works okay. I'm a klutz so had someone else do that.
(4) I found a used CD changer on eBay for about $200 shipped. I bought the mounting bracket from my dealer and they installed it for "free" - the bracket was about $100.
Congrats on your E55 - I could kill you (hehe, I'm jealous!)

do you have a navi? if you do you have an aux. input inside your glove box and you can plug in your ipod in there.

upgrade for our rotors are very unlimited there is a co. called disk alitalia that sells cross drilled. IMO upgrade for our brakes are the Brembo Big Brake set-up kit.

There are many fuse box locations in our car take time to check your user manual, I let you figure that out.

I had mide painted body match ( w/ clearcoat ofcourse) IMO it looks a lot nicer more like a euro impact bumper strip compare to clear (to ea. is own=p)

you can always upgrade your HB but you don't use that everyday...

Do NOT buy 100watt bulbs its the biggest scam ever. If you really want put that money towards an HID kit off ebay, they are as cheap as 150 shipped now, no excuse u should ever get 100 watt bulbs they will fry your wiring harness and blow fuses and etc plus generate rediculous amounts of heat. HID only uses 35 watt and runs much cooler.
