My next mod. (Updated, i went ahead and painted it)
On the other forum, this is finally coming up. thought i'd post it here to.
thinkin of taking off my grill and painting it black to match the car. i love the look of it, and im giong for the ALL BLACKED out mafia look. what do you guys think?
anyone done it???
Also, i don't want to mess up my nice chrome grill, so does anyone know if the standard E W210 class grill will fit on ours? i'll just grab one of those and paint it myself. see how she goes...

That Stealth Auto matte black grill looks pretty cool and $165 doesn't seem like a bad price. But, if you can snag one from a salvage yard for like $25 and Krylon that sucker, I think it would be worth a shot for you to give it a go for a while till rock/debris cut through the paint and show the chrome.

Carleton, your right, that StealthAuto deal is pretty good. but i just lost my job last week and i am trying to do the cheapest thing...plus, i like to paint on my own. i have painted my grill on my truck, using spray cans, and it has lasted quite well over the last 2 winters. one small rock chip, but other then that pretty good... its all about prep and layers. i have a method i paint and it seems to work well... isn't Krylon like the best paint to use??? hmm...
i'll see guys. i'll keep ya'll updated as i find out things. im off work for the next couple weeks, relaxing and doing tons of mods to my cars.the benz is def going to get the painted grill next week!
The regular E grill will fit. I wouldn't paint it because it will chip so fast. I had mine powder coated gloss black for $100, it is much tougher than regular paint. Good luck and show us some before and after pix. Here is a pic of my car now

also, i like those headlights... where di you get them. and would u be interested in a swap for those too??? do you use the factory HIDs for them?
I found a grill for like $15. might buy it, but it has a damaged fin. i'll need to heat and bend back into place. then paint over. we'll see...

The lights are from ebay but have BMW X5 projector lens. They are HID and just the factory balast but I did have to change the bulbs.
I'm going to keep my car for awhile because I blew up my Mini's motor. I was running way too much boost.
Don't pain the grill powder coat it!
