Hey guys,
FINALLY... after 4 months of these pedals sitting on the mantle i finally decided to install them b/c i was getting sick of looking at them in my room. Here is the basic writeup of the install with pics and etc.
Materials necessary:
- scissors
- power drill
- 1/8th to 5/32 drill bits
- pencil
- allen wrench (i think 2.5mm)
- grocery store paper bag
- and hardward provided w/ pedals
- All necessary safety goggles & gloves & etc (always safety first guys!!) a drill bit actually snapped on me so i was lucky i was wearing my goggles)
Step 1:
First take off the rubber pedal pads, they come right off except for the gas pedal one, you can either disassemble the gas pedal (NOT recommended) or just cut the bottom backside portion with some scissors.
Step 2:
Take the drivers side floor mat out of the car and put grocery bag underneath to protect carpet from the falling metal flakes. Put the aluminum pedal covers onto the stock bare pedals and mark through the holes with a pencil to see where the holes are, then remove the pedals
Step 3:
To install the foot rest pedal (far right) its VERY simple, all you do is screw them in by hand w/ a phillips head screw driver directly into the thick carpet, takes about 30 sec.
step 4:
I started with the E-brake pedal first since its the smallest and easiest to line up. Just drill the pencil marks u made earlier and then slide the bolts through and put washers on the backside then the nuts and tighten w/ allen wrench.
Step 5:
The gas pedal is the easiest of the pedals u need to drill b/c its the only one thats plastic (E-brake & brake are both hardened steel as required by law... great

haha). really you will only need to drill 3 b/c the top left hole will actually be outside the plastic pedals dimensions but it is still functional once you put washer on the back side, it will still add further support to the pedal). On a side note, on this one you really onlly need to put washers on the top holes, they won't fit on the bottom ones so just use nuts & 1/8th bit, smallest you can use to pass bolt through).
Step 6:
Brake pedal... this is the toughest of them all. you have to align all 4 holes on a STEEL brake haha, you will have fun with this one (and by fun i mean say alot of curse words and have to go back another 1-2 times to widen holes a bit or make them bigger). once u have finally gotten all the holes drilled pass the bolts through, washers on back side, then nuts like the rest of them.
Step 7: Finally go back and tighten all of them with allen wrench and then start to clean up. If you used grocery paper bag it will make cleanup ALOT easier but you will still have to clean up with a shop vac (which i did, they are only like $22-25 at lowes).
step 8: after a week or a month you may have to go back and tighten the bolts one more time for good and then they should remain tight for good. Oh and of course... Enjoy the pedals!!
Summary:
Difficulty: As far as interior mods go this is probably a 6/10 or 7/10, but overall is really only like a 4/10. Its more frustrating & time consuming than hard just b/c of the awkward tight spaces you have to work in. I know there are ones that u can just slide on but i wanted pedals that were truly unique & rare and i think these really add to the interior giving it that $80k car feel. I got these off ebay for $99 (for the pedals & shift knob & special edition plaque) and $25 shipping. But after selling my stock shift knob, everything really only came out to about $60 so u can save quite a bit of money.......
Anyways until the next mod...
