I finally decided to just go with straight pipe replacement instead of resonator instead of X-pipe. One was simplicity of install and two price. X-pipe was $80+, and the straight pipes only came out to about $30 shipped (i got two 2.25" diamter 45 degree bends). Anyways looks like im gonna be doing the resonator bypass very soon. I'll let you know my impressions. ttyl
Omey: i didn't want to sound like a jackass and disuade you from doing the X-pipe... but it seems ur reason for going str8 pipe vs x is the same as mine, COST!

naw not at all, my cheapness got the best of me . 2.25 is the inner diameter, outder is like 2.31-1.32 something like that. exhaust show will match up the pipes and sleeve them for me. I got mine off ebay for $30 shipped about. Not a bad price honestly. i'll let u know once its done.
No, I don't have any sound clips and I'm too lazy to get the camcorder out. Trust me, you are going to love the way it sounds with the resonator removed. It's a very mellow tone until you punch it and then it growls like a hi-po V8 should. I drove to LA and back a few weeks ago and not once did the sound become annoying whatsoever. It's just perfect.

Stock pipes are twin 2.25" pipes, not 2.5. Outside diameter measured with a super accurate digital caliper measured 2.31" . so inner diameter is 2.25. If you are gonna do kink bent pipe then get 2.5" but if you are getting mandrel bent then get 2.25 (this is the better choice of the two).
