Hey guys,

Got 3 check engine codes today out of nowhere. at first i thought it was b/c of K&N and new MAS but when i went to search codes it showed "Misfire damages at TWC, Misfire damages at TWC Cylinder 2, " " " Cylinder 4. I went to clear the codes, and then turned on the car and it runs great now. I dunno if it was just a one time fluke. When it happened i just got in car and cranked it and it started REALLY rough for some reason, was surging and etc. but after a while it was driving fine. Was this just a one time fluke? Also what does TWC mean? thx

after checking multiple forums i found out it could be either bad spark plugs, bad coils (most likely not the case) or dirty MAS but i just put new one in but it has K&Ns. Gonna use my alcohol cleaning method to see what I can do. for now codes are cleared i'll see how long it takes before they come back

K&N's don't mix well with Benz's. I had multiple issues with my CLK430 and the oil build up on the MAF. It wouldn't take more then a day or two to ruin a brand new MAF.

Try Electrical Cleaner, it won't leave any residue.

TWC means Three Way Catalytic . I think your converter is not taking up and realeasing 02 in the qualities required to convert engine emission gases to water and carbon dioxide. and the cat may also have lost some of it's oxygen storage capability. Try not to mess with your MAF, 02 sensors if your are not getting a "check engine" warning or other electrical issue ie; spark plugs wire. Have it check by a certified Tech it seems like youve been getting error codes everytime.

I cleaned my other MAS in alcohol gonna see how it turns out. Gonna re-install today. i'll let u know how it turns out.

I thought you have a new sensor?
