Hey guys, I will have to revise my picture. Turns out my coolan temps get all the way to 211-213 (very hot b/c water boils at 212). Also some of theothers acted a bit weird so I will have to see. my duovalves are hissing so that means i need more Freon. I will do that soon too. i will add more additions to my list soon. I hope this info helps.

Hey guys,

I just updated the chart. Also, after testing it out I realized that the whole first half of the precedures for the Secret codes functions is not necessary (as stated on the website link i provided). All you have to do is hit the rest button for 5 seconds whenever you want. It does automatically rest every time you turn the car off but its no biggie, and to turn it of you just tap the rest button again.

for the Trouble Codes you still have to follow the directions exactly but its a great way to pick up on a few basic errors but a true OBD2 readers (off ebay) is still the best way to diagnose the car.

hope that helps .

E-Klasse, you learn something new everyday! thanks for the inputs. It would be nice to have all the information in one place so that us and future newbies can get right to it without posting repetitive questions over and over. They have a pretty good sticky going in W210 on some DIY projects. This should perhaps be added there too, I found a lot of informative info. in that forum, there are a lot more people that participate on that forum and we're a minority here.

Wow, this is a really good thread...thanks for all the hard work guys! My AC is not blowing super cold either so I will run a diagnostic on mine and post my values when I get a chance. Separate question - I have an ODBII scanner I bought a few months ago for my '97 Z71. Can I plug this into the Benz and, if so, where is the connector on this car?

ODBII connection is in the lower left driver side (foot well area)
