Your guess is as good as mine. I've not yet seen perforated leather on any E55 I've encountered in Europe (OK so it's not much more than half a dozen cars...)
83,000 miles, I'm the 5th owner, only used for infrequent night trips round Central London and huge European blasts - last couple of trips were London > Cologne > Munich > Frankfurt > London and London > Hague > Essen > London. Have had the car 2 years, maintained by George Fraser (www.georgefrasergarage.co.uk) throughout that period. Pirelli P Zero Rossos all round - rear set were new before the two trips mentioned, so they now have 1,500 miles on them!
Entirely stock apart from JVC touch-screen noisemaker (black to match black burl interior trim). Heated seats, anti-dazzle rear mirror.
Mechanically, has had MAF sensor replaced and went through the annoying BAS/ABS bug, which turned out to be a very-nearly-dead original battery (6 years old!).
Niggles: the little cubby in the dash has jumped it's plastic latch, and there is very light kerbing on one front wheel. Aircon was re-charged by a fantastic bloke down in Munich - a moonlighting Deutsche Bahn train driver who met me with his mobile recharging van round in the shunting yards of Munich Bahnhof: shades of James Bond...
Only selling because I have been offered a completely absurd stretch 750 BMW for ridiculous money, and someone wants my Subaru estate too, so I'm re-arranging the whole "fleet"....
Contact me by sending a message here - I know that works cause a chap did just that asking about buying a '55 two weeks ago. Car is available to view in Central London (Moorgate tube station) evenings and weekends by prior arragnement, or just call George Fraser and ask him about it....
