98 E320 Intermittent Electrical Problem from Center Console
Randomly lose all three functions (windows, trunk release, and remote outside mirror adjustment) from the center console. Windows are stuck up at the moment. From outside the car the key control will operate the windows, sunroof, and trunk release.
I'm thinking a relay may be at fault, or worse yet, the legendary intermittent cable harness problem. This car is really wearing me down with all the electrical problems to date.

I have a 99 e320 which has just developed the same problem. It is not a fuse. All four windows are closed and will not work with any of the center console switches or rear door switches. However, all windows will open using the remote key feature and holding the unlock button down and will also close the same way. the mirrow will move when using the three memory keys on the driver door but will not move using the console switch. The trunk release works with the electronic key opener but the console switch will not work (and is not lit). I was wondering if you ever discovered the problem. Please let me hear from any one with a suggestion.

Has someone spilled a soda in the center console? All of those funtions are from the same module under the wood shift plate. They get shorted out from the cup holder being right above it.
