Will the 14" big brake system fit under the standard 18 x 8.5 Monoblock Aero II wheels that came on my E55 or are larger wheels required? Has anyone done this installation? Is the difference in braking over the stock AMG units worth the price?
I don't think you will feel any difference unless you were driving on a track for over 30 minutes at a time and the only good they would do you is to resist fade better than the stock rotors. Our brakes are plenty big for the car.

Yes it will fit your 18" stock monoblocks (like that rhyme? lol[:D])BUT you will need to use a spacer to clear the caliper. I forget which size spacers you'll need i think maybe 10mm but your wheel shop should be able to tell you. Have that setup and looks [:D][8D]. And yes the difference is your life![:D][:D]!
Don't forget that the big brake adds a lot of unsprung weight to your suspension and moment of inertia to overcome during acceleration which might slow your response on a day to day driving. I agree with SEC that our stock brake are plenty big for street use.
