I just purchased/took posession of my '00 E55 (Black Opal, two tone interior, 34K miles, starmark warranty to 100k/2008)

Driving it home from NJ to NYC was a fantastic first trip, I didn't want to stop. I'll do my best to be a productive member of the site and hope to meet some new people at the gatherings. Maybe I can get some pics up in the galleries soon.

our 55's do haul the mail on the road with authority and grace. 95 people out of 100 think we are driving an old mans cane hauler and that is just fine with me.

Congrats. These are the ultimate undercover car.
My favorite look of shock is that of a new SL500 owner when his sled is shredded by a old-fart-mobile. They NEVER seem to learn.[:D]

I drove during lunch today, with three other people and the A/C on, and the car still hauls A$$. But in my opinion it doesn't look like some "cane hauler". It's a "wolf in sheep's clothing"

In process of purchasing 01 E55 in CA and expect to complete later this week. My Deal sound comparable with yours i.e. Bright Silver/Blk Blk/ 40.0 Starmark warranty. Had great experience with C43 until a truck rear-ended and forced me out of it. Looking forward to comparing notes.
