I am hoping to fit a new tow bar to the above car,The fitting instructions are great,and say it is necessary to remove the bumper but doesnt say how it is fixed, can anybody give me some advice on this subject also any help on removing rear door panel to replace winding gear
The W210 Estate Rear Bumper can be removed by
Remove both rear panels left and right sides..One for the spare tire and one for the first aid / cd changer remove the spare tire..You Will see Several bolts on each side that secure the bumper to the body..remove them and then fold the rear (THIRD) seat up to remove the two rear bumper bolts..under a carpet panel thats it..Watch out for the cable for the Tel aid/Parktronic if so installed
The Door panel is easy..remove the door lock button/the srs badge and the cover under the door pull remove the screws then pop off the inner door handle cover ..another screw behind it..use a wedge to pop off the door panel and then remove the door lock release cable...and puddle light plug
