amg 18" wheel

Hello everyone I just have a question.
Can I install a 245/40/18 tire to my rear rims, I have the original rims and someone told me that it shouldn't be a problem. Now if you can do it what are the negative side of it.

Thank you

RE: amg 18" wheel

You car takes a 275/35/18 in the rear. The rear rims are wider than the front rims. Why on Earth would you want a smaller rear tire? You can't rotate the rims so you might as well get the correct size on the car.

For some reason in Europe we get 265/35R18's, but it makes no difference whatsoever whether you go for the US 275 (650mm) or European 275 (643mm) they are about only 1.09% different in size (about 2.5% is allowed).

RE: amg 18" wheel

18" will fit your E500. just check on the offset, but normally the size is 245/40/18 for the front and 275/35/18 for the rear..
