High milage E55's

currently i have an 00 ML320 and want to try and trade it in for a 00-02 E55 but the only ones in my price range are in the 60,000+ mile range i am currently looking at one with 72,000. what problems do you think i would face with getting a used E55 with high miles.

RE: High milage E55's

72k is not high miles, I would be more concerned with the service and care the car has had and if the A and B services have been performed. Running the VIN number at a Mercedes dealer will show what warranty work was done.
Collison damage is another concern I would have in buying a used car, but miles alone on a high end rig that runs 8 quarts of synthentic is not that big of a deal.

Same issues as all other W210's. Motor isn't one of them.

RE: High milage E55's

yea i was more worried about the trany going bad but i have done some searches and found that not to be a problem. the E class from what i am reading here is 100times better build quality than the ML class.
