how do you remove amg cover to check air filters?

How does one remove the amg cover to inspect the two air cleaners?

Theres 2 clips near the front corners and 2 near the rear corners.. Just pull up and you'll gain access to them

RE: how do you remove amg cover to check air filters?

After lifting off the air filter housing you must unscrew as many as 12 captive torx (T-25) head screws to open it to get to the 2 filters. When reinstalling the housing on the engine be carefull to mount it so no air leaks exist. After 21K miles my housing had lots of sand and leaves inside. Be sure to vacuum out all debris and wipe all rubber/plastic sealing surfaces clean.
