Hi All, I have had this silly problem with my e200 for a while, the brake lights have stop working, and i had it checked out new switch, no mproblems with the fuses and the wire was fixed?/, after a week it stop working again and the abs and ats light comes on.
the next morning Ot works again, and after driving for a while and parking it up, it stops working!!!
Don't know if it's related but I was having a similar problem with my 00 E-55. I got the lamp indicator failure on the odometer display along with an EPS, BAS and ABS failure. 4 errors reported in all. Dealer went through it. Called it an EPS module failure and charged me half the $1200.00 to replace it. Today it's back in the shop for the same problem. This time they claim it has something to do with the headlights though I never had a problem with them. Either way they claim it's fixed and will be ready for pickup tomorrow. I'll post the details as I gather them.
