E55 vs. S-Type R - Benzworld.org

Hi everyone,

I had the best drive home today. Ran across a jaguar S-type R on the highway. So I slowed down to admire the car - it is very aggressive looking from the front view. Anyway, the driver noticed my E55 also. So I decided to floor it and hit 120 and that got the drivers attention even more. Then I waited for him and let him take the lead this time. He floored it and the E55 could have taken the S-type R. Not by much, but it seemed like the E55 was a bit quicker. We were not exactly racing either - we gave each other the thumbs up after the incident. Jaguar did a good job with the S-type R, I must admit that. Just thought I'd share. It was by far one of my best drives home ever! Any one know what S-type R 0-60 is as comapred to the 01 E55? I mean from track results, not magazines....

The Jags hp is higher but the than the 210, and the 0-60 is about the same. The 211 blows the doors off the Jag(Ford).

The E55 is a fast car and so is the Jag-R

the acceleration of the E55 is a bit faster than the Jag... but when exceeding 100km/hr the jag starts to take lead...
