'01 E55 w/ '04 AMG Rims

Folks:

Wanted to let you know that I was able to mount a set of new '04 rims using some special lug bolt spacers to bridge the 12mm vs. 14mm gap. Not a bad look!

Looks nice, but I prefer the 5 hole ones.

Looks good. Really changes the character of the W210.

RE: '01 E55 w/ '04 AMG Rims

ADS E55, I like the new look. What are and where to find the spacers or adapters changing the 14mm hole to 12mm hole? Does the spacer go between the rim and hub or inside the front lugbolt holes? Thanks.

RE: '01 E55 w/ '04 AMG Rims

E55 Kev:

I had to machine 20 little spacers to fill the gap between the 12mm lug bolts and the 14mm holes in the wheels. I know that the AMG wheels are hub centric anyway, just wanted to make sure that there was no room for movement under high cornering load. After 1000 miles the wheels have maintained the proper torque so it looks like they worked!

I think a V8 badge right behind the front wheel would spice it up a bit, make the wheels fit in better, IMO.
