Engine oil Leak - Benzworld.org

Hey Guys,
I just changed the oil on my sisters 98 e320 yesturday and theres an oil leak now. i think it was leaking before but not this bad. i check oil filter, plug etc...no signs of leaking, it leaks from the back of the motor where the engine and tranny connect. anyone seen this prob before? did a seal go out? any help would be appreciated.

What color is it? What I can say is the tranny back seal is getting bad which is a known problem. Have it check if you are in doubt. Where are you during the meet yesterday[:D][:)]

you mean rear main seal? it has 80k on it

I also have a 1996 E320. It also has an engine oil leak. It is small atthis point. Is this then a known defect? The car also has around 80K miles on it. Very annoying...
