Lowering Springs...

I want to lower my 2000 E55.The spring pad route is really not what I am after - Objective - 3/4" -1" lower, and slightly stiffer (10%-15%) ride. I am Considering EIBACH.

Any other brands that I should consider - I DO NOT want an overly stiff ride - made that mistake on another car once.

Has anyone been through this exercise before ? What is involved ?

Appreciate your comments based upon experience. THX !!

I think in the W210, H&R might be the way to go. Although I find Eibach to be very good too, it just depends on how it feels to you.

There's a guy (tp liquid) that will install them pretty cheap in Nor Cal, he gets recommendations on *.org all the time. Maybe check him out there.

Problem is..... you dont know how they "feel" until you buy them and install the. Might be an expensive mistake. Anyone know what the ride, and lowering difference is between these two products ?

RE: Lowering Springs...

I just had H&R springs installed on my 2000 E55 and I am happy with the outcome. They dropped my car about an inch and 7/8, It needed one shim adjustment on the right rear to maintain even balance at all four corners. The springs were ony about $238 and the pro install was another $600 or so, plus alignment.
