What about retro-fitting a wood/leather steering wheel from a 1998 E320 on a 2000 E320? Would it fit without modifications?

I'm looking to do the same thing,.... but since the W210 I want to do the work to is in the middle east I will have to do it myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I read this correctly, he installed the navigation into his 97. does anybody have photos, the links are dead.
