I need to replace two rims from an accident with a curb in the snow.
No one ever calls me back, so I turn to my fellow owners group. I have had no luck in finding a reputable shop in the Milwaukee Wisconsin area who i will risk fender rolling or suspension mods. So i am looking for a lazy mans approach.
Can anyone give me a recommendation of tire/rim sizes front and rear that will fit on the 2000 E430 sport that has the euro look (like a 9 to 9.5 larger in the rear). I don’t understand all the offset, so if I would also need to buy spacers and bolts could you tell me this also. I would like to do this myself at a friend’s garage.
I was interested in Lorenser LM-5 and Brabus mono V 2pc but will consider alternatives. can you also state the pros and cons between 18 inch and 19 inch. I am leaning towards 18 because of simplicity, but everyone likes 19’s if they can get them.

First, as for the rolling of your fenders, you can rent a fender rolling tool from www.tirerack.com I have heard, but I haven't needed to roll mine. I have 19X8.5 Carlsson 1/6 Evolutions on my 97 E420 and love the look and ride. The LM5's and the Mono V's are beautiful wheels. IMO, the Brabus VI are also phat! It's all up to you on which you prefer. There is no more simplicity in going with 18's vs. 19's. I have also lowered my Benz with H&R Sport Springs and Bilstein Sport Shocks 1.4" all the way around the the car performes great. The offset of my wheels (and usually the standard) is ET35. If you purchase your wheels with this offset you will not need spacers or anything. I will attach a pic. of my Benz so that you can see what I am talking about. Here is a link to some Brabus VI for sale on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2414932438
...18x8 ET38 up front and 18x9 ET38 in the rear. While I have been told that I could put even larger rubber on the rims, I am going conservative and will shod the front with 235/40ZR18 and the rear with 265/35ZR18. I don't like the wheel/tire to protrude out beyond the upper lip of the fender. And since I don't want to modify my car with fender roller of use of spacers, I don't want to risk rubbing on the front strut tower, etc. I am purchasing my wheels from wheelsboutique in FL for $299 each rim plus $80 shipping out to CA. I'll mount Michelin Pilot Sports on them.
