Fuel filter

Is the filter on the V8 sedan in the same place as the V6? What made you want to change it? Any problems or just preventative maintenance? How much for the part?

Not sure if the V6 and V8 are the same location,
Price was $65.00 online part store, labor time about one hours , did the replace as a preventative maintenance, also, Mercedes call to replace the fuel filter and transmission filter at 60K, with the car jack up,, remove the 3 plastic screw that hold the plastic cover ( in front of the rear wheel on the driver side) remove the original Mercedes clam on the filter, put in the new fuel filter, and use aftermarket clamp on the hoses,,and put back the plastic cover.
