How do I remove front parking lamp?

Dumb question I know but I tried pulling it and twisting it but it's still there, it's awkward to get to (being the left side (as you look from the front)) so I tried to take out the one the other side (which works) just to see how it's held in - but that wouldn't move either! Help!

the entire lamp itself? Or just the bulb? There should be a socket that you can twist to remove up on the top of the lamp assembly..

parking bulb removal

Sorry to confuse - it's just the bulb i'm trying to remove. It doesn't easily turn nor does it easily pull out. I didn't want to use too much force but maybe I'm not using enough. If I know the correct procedure then I'll have another go.
thanks

Parking light removal

There are pins that hold the light holster. Just squeeze them together and release it, then pull it out. You will have to unplug the light. Hope this helps. Bring a flashlight and you'll see the pins easier.

Bigger problem than I thought

So I finally get the parking lamp holders and bulbs out - and I find out why so much trouble - At the last MOT I had a bulb out so I asked the local garage to fix it so I could get my MOT. They put in 20W bulbs both sides. The bulbs have got hot and melted the holders - making it really difficult to get them out.

So I finally get them cleaned up and put in the correct 6W bulbs - but they don't light when I turn on. Need to get hold of a tester to check if power is getting to the holder - but i think not. - I have checked all fuses I can find (all tail lamps work OK) - I checked all fuses under hood and included secret ones on end of dashboard. Any help or ideas on where these are fused or what could be wrong? All other lights ( hi-lo beam, turn etc are OK)

Thanks

the 6W bulbs that you need to replace.

if you replaced the 6w bulbs with any wattage higher than 6w, you will have blown the inline fuse. If you follow the wiring of the 6w lamp, it will go deep into the headlight housing, there is an inline fuse that you will need to splice and replace.

once you find the inline fuse, you can see what the fuse size is, i cant remember.

good luck
