Sold my '97 E420 today - lowsy market right now! (more)
Before you ask, my E420 had 49k on it, black opal with tan leather, phone/CD & sunroof. I also had the 18' E55 wheels on it.<br>

After listing it everywhere (free online areas, local newspaper, message boards) for the last 2 months, it sold for $23,500 last week.<br>
<br>
I had everyone telling me the car should bring $26k - $28k but I never could find that. <br>
<br>
I still have my ML430 lease for another year and the M5 to tide me over, but I'm not too happy with the resale on this E. Kinda stings when sticker was over $52k and we are still in the same body style!<br>

The analog phone, old engine, mid/high mileage, pre-face-lift, close to end of warranty..<br> <br> Most sedans don't hold their value well except perhaps the AMG or BMW Motorsport models.

wow.. that's like, not even half the purchase price!<br> <br> I wonder, I have a 97 E320. only 11,000kms. $73k Canadian.<br> <br> With the 2003 model coming up, trade-in may not be so good.<p>
