hi,i changed the oil + the filter (8 liters or nearly 8 quarts), the owner's manual figure is 7.5 liters with the filter, but i didn't check the oil level, after driving the car for a 100 miles i checked the level and i found out that's over-filled i.e.,above the max indicator by a large margin, which equals to 500 ml or more than half a quart, is this going to affect the engine adversely and what i should do?<br>

As far as i know xcessive oil could end dumped into exhaust,damaging cats, oxygen sensors etc.<br> Suck it out ASAP, but i think that .5L shouldn't<br> be a big broblem.
