o How is it compare to regular gasoline engine?<br>

I have a 99 E300 TD and love it. The fuel economy on diesel engines, maintenance cost, fuel cost, and durability far exceeds that of a gas engine. Cheaper and last longer, just not as quick off the line, and in certain remote areas, diesel fuel is harder to find. As the rednecks say, if you want to haul ass, get gas! I figure unless you're getting an AMG model benz, its not going to be 'fast' anyway.
