Hello once again guys! I won't be leaving the 210 forum guys, so here is what happened in the month of me trying to sell my W210, I got a lot of people who were not serious asking random questions about my car, and some good offers, who just shied away and didn't come get it, and obviously a few low ballers! Now considering, my car is in really good shape, I have taken care of most of the things on it, the car runs like top so I understood that trying to sell it for like $2500 would be worthless and no other car could compete with the 210 in performance and overall driving pleasure so keeping it until the wheels fall off is my choice. Recently took it on a trip to Vegas and man was this thing speeding with four of us in the car, it almost got me in trouble as I was trying to keep with this 2007 335i and noticed I was going like at 120. Considering all that, I would have gotten really sad and would have eventually regretted selling it if someone picked it up quickly. I am really attached to it and decided I cannot give it up for a cheap a** price because these are very valuable to us enthusiasts and we know how much of a pleasure it is to drive these things. Anyways, I will be with you guys for as long as this thing lasts!
i feel the same with my 1999 E320. almost sold it a year ago after I quit
working and my brother and sister were in a bidding war for it for $3k. I
put i a lot of work on the car and knew it would annoy me to see it parked
outside and not under shelter, not waxed, and the insides with food wrappers
and muddy carpet. So I decided to keep it even though I spend the vast
majority of the time driving my truck or motorcycle. Once a month, when I
am driving the E320, that 17+ year old car feels like a $25k car.

A while back, I considered selling mine and getting a W211. Looked at an E500 and an E55, both '06s, if I recall, neither of which I liked as much as my E430. So, like you, I'll drive mine until the wheels fall off.
Nails in the tire tend to move and can fall when tire wear out.
Screws are way better.
Pack of cords with tool cost about $6
Get the stuff on the picture, that does not need glue. I am getting those at NAPA
Like Kris said, nails come out (had it happen to me, recently). Screws are a better fix. I also like the corded plug kit Kris pictured above, though it's not as reliable long-term as a real patch on the inside.
I used the plugs on the picture for years and in the past they come with glue, but shorter cords. Those gave me occasional headache, but couple years ago found no-glue cords, that are longer what picture shows.
You insert them in deep, twist the handle several times, what forms big knot inside the tire, pull out the end and cut flush with the thread.
Used those on tractor, truck and car, some having 65psi and so far it never come back.
Got it fixed and treated her with some Shell 91, I have to admit, I was driving our new car(the Mits Montero) for over a month and pretty much abandoned my 210, and I have to say after getting back to it today, at the stoplights had to constantly check the rpm to see if its on or not haha... Having driven a couple of W220s I have to say I enjoy the W210 more and it doesn't lack in any aspects except maybe its missing a Nav screen and doesn't have the fancier electronic shocks. Otherwise drivability wise, my 210 is right up there! I will keep it till the wheels fall of for sure.
Technology can be exiting to some degree, but lot of it are gadgets.
I just got new Superduty.
5 cameras build-in. Sure nice for towing, the thing talks to my android even without my knowledge. Lane control scarred me first couple times as steering wheel vibrates. Remote start might be nice on those 140F parking lots in Vegas, but I've been living without the stuff for long years and fact is that it how the thing drives is what really counts.
Now getting one of those gizmos where you can TELL destination address and go on back seat to play with something might be another story.
