I have a problem , there a lot of oil leaking from my car ,on the alternator on the bottom side of it ,the top side is clear of oil, it is hard to detect where is the source of leaking because of the alternator, did someone had a problem like this before, need your help .:crybaby2:
I experienced similar leak on different engine and took me several cleanings, stuffing paper towels and close observation to pinpoint the leak.
Bad news in my case it turned out head gasket.
In your case I would remove the clamp that holds transmission fluid pipe and check the corrosion damage under.
Good luck.
headgasket and or cam cover gasket. I would replace both sides ASAP before the alternator gets damaged. If you do pull the heads it would be wise to do a full valve job at the time. yes it is very expensive.
I think you mean valve cover or breather cover? Head gaskets are almost never an issue on the M112 and M113.
OP, I tend to lean with Kajtek that it might the pipe below and next to the alternator that's got a small leak. Clean everything up, then start up the car so the tube has some pressure and see what you find.
Actually, check your AT fluid level and see if it's low, too. That would be another indicator.
The timing/rocker cover is well known for leaking, the screws are often just finger tight.
