After I read all the article related to "sensor", but I can't find one which related to the "Parking Sensor", so I would like to write it out, and for all of you who have a face-lifted W210 with this option.

The only tools I need is in the photo #1 (sorry, I don't know the name in English)
and the whole process will take about an hour.

If you found your parking sensor display show error as photo #2, that means at lease one of the total of ten sensors (6 at front & 4 at rear) were malfunction.

The parking sersors are installed at the back of the rear trim, but, the side trim was on the top of rear trim, so, you have to remove the side trim first, (photo #3)

Be careful there was a hook at the back of the side trim, don't pull towards to yourself, should be pull towards to the rear of car. (photo #4)

Nice work, nice detail.

Very few of the W210 series were delivered in the US with that option, but it's useful across other model lines, too. I'm sure my friend's W215///AMG is just like that.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

parking sensor not working after replacing the sensor also

hi everyone,

ive seen this thread and replaced my front parking sensor with a new one myself but still it is not working. old sensor is broken because my friend hit a tree in the parking lot @15mph there is no damage to the bumper but the tree exactly hit to the parking sensor and it is broken. ive noticed it broken when i open the strip on the bumper where sensors are placed by using the above said tool. I replaced it with a new one still it is not working. all connections are perfectly alright. Is there any other method to reset the parking sensors manually? TIA. your reply is most appreciated. :angel
