Why European W210s can display kmh speed in large digit in the LCD display, but North American models cannot do that? (for facelift model")

I am not sure if i am reading your message correctly, but I have a "North American w210" 2002 e430 and I can display MPH or KPH in the digital format in the display unit on the cluster.

What do you do to convert the readout from MPH to KPH?

On my E430 it is in the menu settings ( see step six in the image from the manual)

Mine can display either MPH or KPH.

Thanks for your reply, the digital speed display I talked about is in the youtube video, as you can see, the center LCD can display large speed digit...I never seen that one works on my car.

also, I just retrofitted my command, it should display the navigation route guidance in the LCD, but that never happens either. It seems like I need to find out how to manipulate the LCD display a bit smarter?

So it is not the case that w210 can't display MPH on IC but that 2001 and beyond are capable of doing it.
