Fog Proyector Lights

Hi,
My current fog lights are less than ideal, as many owners complain about their inefficiency.
One of the lenses is leaking water into the assembly and I need to repair it (re seal it) and replace the wiring harness which has become rusted and it's in bad shape.
In doing research, I've found more "modern" looking fog lamps made by DEPO which have clear lenses but are still reflector type lamps. I also came across a couple of proyector based fog lamps that are a direct replacement for the factory ones. The quality is completely unknown but everything else being equal, proyector lights are better than reflector ones.
Has anyone tried these? If so, are you pleased with the result?
I don't want to go HID since I already have factory HID low beams and like the feature that when the car is locked and the lights were ON, the fog lights stay on for 30 seconds or so to allow me to see where I'm going (HID's would have an issue with this).
Thanks

Hi Sergio, it's best to get some original Bosch replacement lenses or harness. They are super cheap on Auto Parts at AutohausAZ - OEM Auto Parts - Discount Replacement Parts, Resources and Car Care Tips. If I remember correctly, they are somewhere around $12 for each lense. It's going to be real glass vs. the plastic knock off depo style too. I can't remember the prices for the harness, but the last time I looked autohaus was having a sale on them. If your order is $50 or more, they will ship them for free. I'm in VA and usually receive my products in about 5-6 business days using their free ground shipping service. I'm sure PA will be one day less or the same. Best of luck.

I have HID fogs, they only come on if you have had the lights on, get out the car and close the door. To prevent this before you get out of the car, open the door and turn the key to the off position and then back to the number 2 position. There was a post about this somewhere on the other forum I think.

Thanks. I do want the lights to stay ON when I exit the car as I use them to see where I'm walking to so HID's are off the table. I will add other lights at a later time in the space next to the fog lights and those will be HID.

The HIDs work fine in the exit lighting mode. Next overhaul I do on my fog lamps, I will get 3400K yellow bulbs and all that is yellow, spray paint clear yellow on reflector & clear yellow lens, maybe that Lexus yellow bulb cover if it fits.

Here are some pics of generation one HID Fogs.
