The 722.6 requires 236.10, 12, or 14.

The following manufactures have made claims that their fluid meets 236.10 specs:

Febi, Valvoline, BG, Pentosin, Meyle, Redline, and Amsoil. Note these are not on the official Mercedes approved list but the manufactures claimed they can be used.
Thanks for the informative data. I have seen those information on RP website. Surely they have posted sometime like 236.x for MB transmission. If the RP ATF does not fit M722.6, why they advertise like that? 236.x is misleading consumers to believe it support all series 236 tranny.

To be safe, I will take recommendations from you. I thought RP products are the best in the market. I guess I am wrong.

Thanks again for those informative data.

You might be mixing the transmission with the spec numbers.

722.6 is the transmission.

236.1, 2, . . . , 9, 10, 12, 14 are fluid specs. This "6" in 236 has nothing to do with the "6" in the 722.6.

236.x means a single digit after 236 and the 722.6 requires 236.10, 12, or 14 (two digits after 236).

Talking about dumb, dumb, dumb
The Fuchs fluids are on the official MB approval lists so they are in a different category.

Thanks
Those fluids on the official approval list cost about the same as the Mercedes fluid. Here is where you can get Fuchs. You can buy either the 1-liter bottle or the 4-liter bottle.

Transmission Fluid- OEM Fuchs-4 Liters 2002-2009

Try to read the fluid section of the 722.6 FAQ:
