Garage Lift

I am thinking about getting a 4 post lift for the garage to work on the cars as well as to seasonally store one or the other during the year.

I saw the 7,000 lb Eagle lift and was wondering if anyone had experience or recommendations on that one or others.

I've got 11' + in the garage which I'm hoping would be minimally enough. I'd need to modify the garage door opener track, but that should be doable.

thanks

Try this place.

I am REALLY happy with my Bend-Pak 2 Post.

They also make a 4 post unit.

Check this place out-- Automotive lifts, car lifts, auto lifts, automobile hoists from ASE

They are a good source to ask questions, as well.

I had done the whole research on the "lift" topic, and found Bend-Pak as a good "Bang for the Buck", when factoring in SAFETY, features, price, etc.

They also have a unit for "low ceilings".

Be careful about the "free shipping", though, no matter WHO you buy from.
Most likely, you will have the 2,000 pound lift arriving in the back of a large truck, and they will expect YOU to take it out.

Plan on having a fork-lift, or Tow Truck Company on hand......

Also, do your research before-hand to see if anyone in your area does INSTALLS. It is a job I wouldn't recommend if you have not done one before.... Expect up to around $500 for install of a 2-Post unit. You will also probably need an electrician (depending on your state regs).

You will need to find out if your foundation is compatable, as well.

Just some food for thought.

My parents bought their lift from this exact website, we got the Danmar lift. It works great! The company is very easy do deal with. I would highly recommend purchasing from this company.

Thanks

Four post is for me, so I think I can assemble it [with a few helpers]. These things arrive in a tractor-tralier rig, right? Getting it to the garage from the street along my 225 ft driveway [rutted gravel and dirt] will certainly be a challenge. It is not straight, so probably won't be getting the driver to back in.
