Has anyone ever replaced a front quarter panel? My MIL's 1997 E320 has succumbed to rust in that area. Rather than trying to grind it/bondo, I figured it would be easier and a better repair in the long run to replace the panels. I can order new ones primed and ready for paint.
Question is, how to remove/replace them. On the top, the bolts are obvious, but how about lower area? Is it welded on? I'm decent with a MIG welder so I can rent one if that is the case.
TIA!

"Oh Lord, won't you buy me
a Mercedes Benz
My friends all drive Porsches
I must make amends
Worked hard all my lifetime
no help from my friends
So Lord, won't you buy me
a Mercedes Benz"
That's it

Thanks for the links, ohlord. No, no help from MB here on an extended warranty, our coverage is about the same as the US. I think only the UK get a decent rust warranty. The W210 certainly needs one!
This is my MIL's car, a 1997.
I ordered the panels, and they've arrived. Will paint them and then try the install. I'll try and take some pics and post here.
