Welcome to the forum, Urffourm. Please take a moment to complete your user profile, available via the "User CP" link. Your vehicle year and model and your location are especially helpful.
To synchronize the remote on a '96, aim the transmitter at the mirror sensor and press the button twice. Within 30 (?) seconds, put the blade in the ignition lock and turn to position 2. Then turn back to position 0.

1. no problem, profile updated.
2. thank you very much for you kind help, will go to try this way later and let you know the result.
The problem with searching for this information is that our '96's have a completely different system than the later cars, and the synchronization procedure did not remain the same through the years.
