E200K Audio 10 CD player not working

CD player not working - doesnt recognise magazine (6 CD) holder which wont eject either. Stripped unit and freed the casette. It is getting power etc but still not working. I did notice that there are two orange wires (very rigid) going to the CD and when you unclip the connector there is an LED on one side of it and the other side looks like another LED but it is completed melted. Any ideas what caused this and also what I could do to try fix this unit?

Hey the orange wires are not wires there fibre optic lines , they run from the head unit back to the cd changer . If the lines are damaged they will have to be changed . I can supply you with a replacement line , if its the cd changer i might have one . The changer and lines are brand new , I can give you the lines free , just need picking up , the changer will cost , dont know how much , will have to ask at work .

Thanks Steve thats very kind of you. I think the CD player is oK but cant be sure - it was working fine. What do the fibre optic lines actually do.

Im not 100% sure what the fibre optic lines do , if you want the lines i can have them next week , if you pm me your number i can ring you and arrange delivary or collection
