My 1998 E430 has been shutting down without warning when the heat gauge goes over 80C. When it cools down to below 80C, I can again start the engine. I have noticed that the two fans at the grill do not seem to be turning on. However, there is enough coolant in the vehicle and there's never been an episode where actual overheating has ever occurred. Does anyone know what the problem may be?
