I got my 97 E320 back home. My dad drove it in the rain and it went in to Limp Home Mode. Found a tread on here similar to my problem, where the car would go into limp home mode when it was wet out and then when the next day the car would be out of limp home mode when started it back up. Turns out that he found that the in a wiring harness that went to a rear wheel vehicle sensor, the 2 wires had rubbed against each other causing the insulation on the wire to wear, and a little bit of water would short the 2 wires out. Well, yesterday I started my E320 and it didn't go into limp home mode. It hasn't really rained here in Jersey since the day my dad drove it. The OBD2 scanner had a code of P0500 that I cleared, but CarSoft found in the ABS Module a C1022 Code, ESP CAN communication with the engine system is faulty. Anyone have any insight on this? I'm about to pull both rear wheels off and check the harness for the ABS sensors.
