I hope i'm starting this correctly. I have a 1992 Mercedes 190E 2.6 with an ingition switch that the key sticks so after searching all of the web and purchasing all the special tools needed to remove the old ingintion switch its just not turning. I purchased the ignition lock release wires and ignition lock cover remover. I turned the key to the 1st position and the wire slides in than I put the cover remover over the ignition lock housing, but when I try to turn it nothing happens. I Sweeze the ignition lock release wires together and still the housing will not turn. I am pulling my hair out. I tried turning it counter clockwise and clockwise and still nothing. Does anyone have any other ideas. I did purchase another ignition lock housing shield just in case.
I followed all the links on this fourm with similar problems, but it just won't move.
Please help.
Thanks
Robert
